| Big White Ski Resort - Kelowna, BC |
“With more than 750 cm of light, dry, fluffy snow, Big White is famous for its tree snow ghosts in the alpine, massive varied terrain and days filled with powder. Big White has more than 100 runs, along with five alpine bowls and a virtually 100%, ski to the door slope side village and was chosen as the 2007 and 2008 Ski Canada test site. The Queen of the Okanagan is an easy commute from the newly expanded Kelowna International Airport and is perfect for a weekend getaway or a winter family vacation. There are currently four village hotels, 25 condo or town house complexes, 244 vacation homes and two ski in/ski out hostels. The village area includes 18 restaurants, cafés and delis, as well as a small grocery store and liquor store. |
